Hi, I'm Stan Oome. I like plants, especially cacti. I like taking pictures, especially macro's. After years of taking these pictures, I decided it was time to put them online, so more people could enjoy them.

The pictures on this website were taken with a Fujifilm Finepix F700, and when this broke down shortly after the 5th digit appeared on the counter, its place was taken by a Fujifilm Finepix F40fd. Both with some slight help and modifications...

I try to add new pictures regularly, but as you can imagine, the pictures I take are a bit dependent on the season. And if I miss one flowering day, I may have to wait untill next year for the plant to flower again. And of course there are other activities tot attend to.

Currently most of my time goes to earning a Ph. D. degree in Plant Microbe Interactions at Utrecht University. Yes, the fascination for plants goes deep...
